Beautiful pair of celery or vegetable serving plates boats by K & L of Germany, from the 1920s. Hand painted with lovely yellow, white and pink roses, this pair is meant to be together, as they are coordinating in design. Both have a heavy embossed gold trim.
Both are shaped as a celery boat, but could be used for serving tidbits or small sandwiches, or even as a dresser tray. Both are marked on bottom.
No chips or cracks, these are most definitely keepers and have lived the good life. The Estate Sale that I brought these home from was in Bexley Ohio, very well taken care of.
Large boat measures 12 inches by 5 inches and the smaller one measures 8 1/2 inches by 4 inches. I would hate to be the one to separate these beauties, so sold as a pair only.
