Beautiful and very old, from the 1920s. This oval shaped jewelry casket is made in France and is hand painted, initials of artist on underside of piece. Deep green, with gold gilt trims, ornate brass borders and footed as well. The interior is white with hand painted florals. The clip type closure functions well, is secure. There are no chips or cracks. One small area at bottom right above brass rim that has wear on the green. This is a rare and lovely piece, perfect for a dresser top or vanity. Rather large for a dresser box, measuring 6 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches.
