This teapot is approx 150 years old, and is ready to use or display. Silver Plated and manufactured by Reed & Barton, made in USA.
Very ornate, from the top finial to the scrolling feet, An applied Bird, surrounded with deeply etched florals and leaves. This teapot is part of the 2076 line, patented in 1871. The hinged lid functions smoothly. There are no large or noticeable dents, a few pinpoints, and some light scratching. I cleaned and lightly polished with silver cream. The pictures tell it all, the results were gorgeous. I certainly missed a few spots, and maybe left behind some polish residue, the outcome is lovely.
Marked on the bottom. Beautiful focal point, or the interior is in very good condition, absolutely usable if you desire. This true antique piece has lived the good life for almost 150 years. You will not be disappointed.
Measures 10 1/2 inches high, and measures 9 inches from outer edge of handle to tip of the spout. Will be noticed.
