Now these are a blast from the past! Many generations of families have spent lazy summers at Lake Wawasee in Syracuse Indiana. Opened in 1932, The Frog Tavern has been a steadfast landmark, and is now on its 4th owner, still going strong.
These coasters may not be worth very much money, but to someone that spent a childhood or many family vacations at Lake Wawasee, these are priceless! I came across these when unwrapping a set of china I purchased and the previous owner of the china had used these to cushion the plates I purchased. In looking at the newspapers used for wrapping the china, I knew someone somewhere would want these, I live in Indiana myself, and Lake Wawasee is a legend.
Yellowed and curled, these paper coasters were probably used to line saucers for coffee, they all seem to have that 'saucer curl'. Again, these are used and show age, yellowing and curling, but still hold a memory for many. There are a total of 16, and each measures 5 inches in diameter. Yellowing and curls, no tears or rips.
