Pair of Large Victorian Couple Wall Plaques, Jayess United Inc Studio, Chicago, Park Setting, Plaster with Old Wire Hangers, 1960s

Large, each measures 19 inches by 15 inches and has a depth of approx. 3 inches, large and heavy plaster with old wire hangers. They are the identical in size, although my 1st picture does not reflect that. These pieces are created by Jayess United Inc Studios in Chicago, from the 1960s or late 1950s. They are a little distressed as shown in pictures, however, there are glaze/enamel chips (very shallow) which could easily be remedied with a dab of paint. Actually, for an English or French Country home decor, they would be perfect as they are, signs of age and all. A good water spray for missed dust might be in order though.

In two pictures I have tried to demonstrate that the background of these plaques are designed to be 'open', revealing the paint color or wallpaper on your wall. Please see the 2 pics with my hand sticking thru! Really adds dimension and interest to these plaques.

Let me know if you need any additional pics. This is a charming pair.
