With the ever elusive Key, this leather boxy, deep and wide satchel, was probably at one time a Salesmans Sample Case, basing this only on the size. Could also be used as a messenger bag or extra large briefcase. Very cool decor item for a mid century office.
Made of leather, there are signs of use and age, a good cleaning with leather soap would work wonders. There a a few edges that are worn as shown in picture, as well as an area about an inch long that the seamwork has come loose, also shown in picture. This case is ready to go, strong and sturdy, and one of the better ones I have ever found. Good Vintage Condition.
Large, measures 18 inches by 13 inches by 8 inches. The key is on a chain hanging inside the case. Lock functions well, Signs of use and age, nothing that detracts from the functionality or appeal of this leather satchel.
