Wonderful pair of La Mode Illustree Fabric French Fashion Shadowboxes, 3-D Depth and Dimension. The detailing is fabulous, notice the rhinestone buttons and rings. This pair came from a Fine Arts Auction in Michigan and feature gold and silver wooden frames.
Old, with some age discoloring (yellowing), a few stains in the interior fabrics, a few scuffs on the wooden frames. The mountings are solid and secure. I believe the coverings are of a high quality plexi, looks like glass, but sounds like plexi. Both mountings display very well, imperfections and all. I did not dis-assemble for any interior cleaning, will leave that decision up to the new owner. You will not be disappointed. Each measures 15 1/2 inches by 12 1/2 inches. Difficult to project the depth and uniqueness of this pair in pictures, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
